By using this website/ online shop (www.staintongems.co.uk) it is deemed you accept all the following Terms & Conditions. Stainton Gems reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions in future updates to the website.

All graphics, images, and text on this site remain the intellectual property of Stainton Gems. It is prohibited to reproduce/ imitate any of the information or images of products available.

Privacy Policy

Any personal information held by Stainton Gems will not be shared with other companies or individuals without obtaining prior consent from the customer. As payment options are processed by PayPal’s secure site, we do not hold onto any of your financial details.

We only use and collect the data you supply us with to process orders at your request. Where consent is obtained lawfully and wilfully, we also utilise your email to share with you our products and services. You can opt out of this at any time by unsubscribing (link at the bottom of each email) or contacting us at info@staintongems.co.uk.

Ordering Process

1. Browse the shop and add the items you wish to purchase to your basket.

2. Press the place an order button and login to PayPal. You can still use Visa payment methods as a guest through the PayPal checkout. Just enter the required details.

3. Check your calculated shipping information and complete the payment.

4. You will receive an email confirming your payment/ order.

Shipping/ Postal

We normally ship within 4 working days except in circumstances such as health discrepancies or mineral show attendances.
All UK deliveries are sent using the Royal Mail’s 48hr tracked service. For overseas customers, shipments will be sent via a Royal Mail linked service. Please contact info@staintongems.co.uk if your postal prices are not automatically calculated at the checkout.

Note: We only ship to the UK, USA and Canada. 

Specimen Size Categories

Photographs

Whilst we endeavour to produce realistic photographs, please be aware that colours are sometimes difficult to accurately reproduce. Colours can also vary in artificial light compared to daylight. Please note that product photographs are not to scale.

Customs/Duty Fees

It is the customer’s responsibility to pay for all associated custom charges, duty fees and sales tax, for items purchased and posted/shipped outside of the UK.

Health Considerations

Minerals should be handled carefully as they may be harmful or toxic. Always wash your hands after handling minerals and never inhale or ingest their dust.

Returns

You have 14 days from receipt to return your products if you are dissatisfied with their description or in-person appearance. We will refund your money, minus the returning postal charge, as long as the specimen(s) are returned in the condition they were sent, i.e. undamaged, not been trimmed etc.
For used books and magazines there is a no-return policy. However, should a book or magazine be damaged in transit please contact us via email with photographic evidence of the damage and the packages condition.

Damaged Items

If a specimen has been damaged in transit, please contact us immediately (upon opening the parcel) and we will discuss either a full or partial refund. Images of the items condition must be provided for a refund to occur. You are not required to return items that are damaged beyond resale.

We offer a mailing list to subscribers for news of new mineral finds or events. If you wish to join please enter your email and press subscribe. You can unsubscribe from this at any time.
